Kitchen update
We changed around our kitchen again!!!!! It all started with my idea of painting the armoire we had in the living room!!! I wanted a blue distressed look that I had seen. After bringing the armoire into the kitchen, we decided to move the vintage stove. It is now in front of the window. My pink table was moved into the living room and we put a very long and narrow work table in its place .It is our " island" since it is counter height!!!! I have to buy higher chairs.I did buy some temporary ones but will look for different ones that are sturdier.I was very proud of myself since I put the island together myself!!!! My hubby was busy and I was anxious to see how the work table would look!!!!! We are actually hanging out in the kitchen more !!!! It was a very practical change!!!! The whole family has been hanging out on their laptops while we wait for dinner to be ready.

Kitchen armoire
We moved the newly painted 'blue armoire" to the kitchen. It was a harder move than I thought (and messier). I had to take everything out of the old armoire and remove all the dishes from the shelf I kept them on (they are now inside armoire). Once we figured out where we wanted it we decided to move the stove which meant another trip to Menards to get longer gas connections. I really like where the stove is now , it is in front of a window and lets so much more light in than before. The kitchen is feeling more old world"French" in style.Especially with the addition of the copper sink. Now we need copper pots!!!!! There is always something!!!!!

Photos of copper sink
I shined the sink and I love how it looks. I painted the cabinet and cleaned one side of the kitchen!!!!! So I can have a photo shoot!!!! LOL!!!!! Actually I worked on my bedroom today and it was tiring but I wanted to share the sink with everyone!!!! I made a burlap curtain for the underpart of the sink( we took off doors to cabinet). The family couldn't understand why I NEEDED two ten pound bags of rice!!!!!! I had a vision and here it is!!!!!!

Copper sink!!!!
We finally installed our copper sink in the kitchen!!!! We now have 2 great sinks!!!! The copper sink will be our veggie /prep sink,No dirty dishes will go in it!!!! It took us all day to install. We had to remove an already installed cabinet and install a smaller cabinet to make the 3 ft. copper sink fit. I still have to paint the new cabinet and we need to "tweak" a few minor details but it looks and works great!!!! We also had to install water lines and drainage pipes. It was a long day with 3 trips to Menards. Both hubby and I are in a better mood today!!!! We will be bringing the painted armoire into the kitchen and hopefully I can paint the cabinet today!!!! I will post photos after I paint cabinet!!! Have a great day!!!
