Basement stairs
Today I am in the process of repainting our basement stairs and part of the basement floor.I think this might be the fourth or fifth time doing this since we have moved in!!!!!! We rewired the light going to the basement and now that we can actually see going down the stairs ,I saw we NEEDED to repaint.So I am waiting for the paint to dry to give it another coat.Our weather here in Wisconsin is feeling warm so I have started the outside clean up.I picked up some left over leaves and finally removed the Halloween spider web from my rose bushes!!!! The kids wanted me to keep it up ,they hated to see it go. I am enjoying the weather while it is warm but it is supposed to get cold again this weekend.I reluctantly ordered another face cord of wood to burn .The boys and I stacked it and I hope this will last until the end of the season!!!!!!!

We raked/shoveled the huge pile of snow in our yard, to thin it out in hopes the 70 degree weather today would melt the last of it...no such luck...we have a few more days of nice weather still in the forecast, so I'm hoping we'll get rid of it soon! (Our flat roof requires shoveling off if we get more than a foot of snow...we had three feet a while back, so in addition to all the snow that piled up from the driveway, sidewalk and walkway, we added all the snow that was on the roof...it was well over six feet before it started to melt. Yesterday we still had three feet! Today, I'd guess it's about 8 inches left!
