Dressing Room Tour

Ok,so I am learning how to edit on my iPad using iMovie and this what I did so far!!! Hands down my FAVORITE room in my house (second to my pantry,lol)I have added a few new girly pieces to it and I am in LOVE!!I found another 3 tiered cake/cupcake stand from Opuluent Treasures like the one I purchased last year ,in a different color and about 1/3 of the price at Homegoods!!!! We went out of town a few weeks ago and I picked the hotel we stayed at (from our last anniversary) because it had resteraunts that we liked and it had the BEST Homegoods store across the street.Of course ,it was a really nice hotel as well ,lol:) Here is my mini movie trailer of my favorite haapy place! Spring Cleaning Part 2

So I finally got around to deep cleaning my dressing room. I love my little space that is completely my own!!!! My hubby would say that the whole house is mine but this is the one place no one else can mess up but me!!!!! In winter this room is the coldest spot and this year I found a little space heater /fireplace that is perfect.I noticed that I have spending more and more time in there ,lol. Last year my hubby bought me a pink makeup cube to store my makeup.I have been collecting new items and it is such an awesome storage system.I mostly put my higher end makeup in there and I use my other pink storage drawers for my drugstore makeup. I love all brands Chanel,YSL,Jane Irdale,Loreal and Wet and Wild(to name a few).I don't discriminate.That said it is a challenge to store and organize.So today I went through every drawer and reorganized. I love makeup and I go through phases of wearing it and not wearing it.I finally realized what it is that I love about it.It is a ritual for me ,sacred time to take care of myself.I feel better and feel more put together when I have makeup on.I notice people react different to me when I have it on.Don't get me wrong I still feel beautiful when I am not wearing it.I like how I look naturally.I am lucky to have good skin.I just appreciate the time for myself when I make an effort to 'beautify". I have also love to try new beauty products and I have to say technology just gets better and better.There are so many primers,powders,lotions and potions that I am learning about so it has been fun to experiment.Any way ,back to cleaning.I spent a few hours dusting,wiping,vacuuming and rearranging.Now it is shiny and perfect just how I like it!!!!

Clean up!!!!

Getting ready for xmas around here!!!!! The other day I started cleaning up my dressing room and dusting off my shoe/boot collection!!!! I have quite a collection of boots and already have my eye on some more ,lol!!!!! My favorite print is leopard and since it is currently in style I am stocking up !!!!! Here are a few photos....

Prep work

 I have been going thru the house , room by room to find items for the yard sale. This sale was originally the kids idea but they don't want to get rid of anything!!!!!! I guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree because I discovered I like my stuff too!!!! It has been hard releasing . I am mostly selling the ebay items that didn't sell. I have a lot of chandeliers and sconces,some knick knacks,books,and some clothes. I am selling my bed ( remember I kept the sleigh bed that I was originally going to sell). I am trying to finish painting a wardrobe for the yard sale. It was going to be white but then I started distressing it and hated how it was turning out!!!! So I started from scratch and am painting it the french blue. I don't know if I can finish in time, I am worn out. This morning I decided to go through my dressing room and search for items. It was a disaster in there. I have a lot of beauty products and shoes in there and I have run out of room. So I re organized and took a few photos to show you. This is the room that made me want to buy this house. Its small but perfect for my dressing table!!!!!!

I have a small pink dressing room that I LOVE !!!!!! It was what sealed the deal on this house for me!!!! So Friday as I was cleaning the room and I looked up and thought that my "new" vintage chandelier would look cool in here!!!!So today hubby hung it for me!!!!! I love how it looks and also I went outside and it really sparkled when it was turned on!!!!I tried to photograph it from outside but you really can't see it. Here are some of the photos I took.

Bookshelf redo!!!

A few posts ago I talked about my bookshelf redo in my dressing room.Here are a few photos of it.I am displaying a few pairs of my shoes on it until the day I have a whole wall for shoes!! LOL I think I posted same photo twice sorry!!!!

Dressing room and more!!!!

Sorry for lack of pictures still not sure what is going on w/ camera!!!!!! Yesterday I started and finished a small project in my dressing room.I put a bookshelf in the room to display some of my items (some shoes,and other stuff) I wanted to glam it up so I
added decorative paper to the back part of the shelves.It looks more custom!!!!! I basically used double sided tape to stick it to the backing of shelf I LOVE It!!! This room is getting a total makeover soon. This room (beside the kitchen sink) was the reason I bought this house!!!! I had been visualizing and talking about having my own dressing room before we lived here so when we walked in the master bedroom and saw it ,I had to have it!!! You see my husband had bought me a Victorian dressing table years before for an anniversary present( yes,I usually ask for antique furniture for presents!!!!!) This is a photo of the room before .We tore out the storage benches (on the left side) and it feels much bigger. We still have to patch up the walls and repaint.I will keep you posted!!!!
