Cupcakes

Today is my B-day!!!!! I turn TWENTY again!!!!! LOL!!!!! I really wasn't into it this year but my youngest wanted me to have a party and make cupcakes.So I couldn't turn down a cupcake.My daughter went to the store and bought all our ingredients then Julian helped mix everything.I helped put the frosting on but Paloma and Julian decorated them.They turned out yummy looking and tasting!!!!!!Here is a photo from today!!!!

Wood floor

Still working on the finishing details.Yesterday hubby and I worked on filling in the floor(where the old wall was and was just a hole in the floor) with new hardwood floor.It was a scary project for us because it involved the dreaded table saw!!!!!!! Luckily it went smoothly and we were able to fill the old hole w/ new hardwood floor.It looks great .We will need to refinish the floor some time in spring.At least I know the kids won't fall thru the hole into the basement!!!!

Almost done!!!!

Our new dining room /study is almost complete!!!!! We spent Valentines day mudding and sanding and then yesterday I painted the room.I ran out of paint so I have to go buy another gallon also I need to paint the trim.It is so nice to see the room looking clean and functional again!!!! I am mopping and re-mopping the dust.We still need to buy wood floorboards for the hole in the floor (where the old wall was).For now we just have a huge plywood board down so no one will fall thru!!! I will post photos after I complete the last touchups!!!!

Another day of sanding!!!!

I have been slowly sanding the new dining room/study walls.It is going at a snails pace.I really want to start painting the room by next week and show you what it looks like already!!!!! Well,I am off to tape up the plastic so I don't have the dreaded dust everywhere!!!!

Back to work!!!!

Work on our dining room/ study has started again.Hubby taped and mudded yesterday.Today I am going to buy plastic to put up so I can sand (trying to contain all the dust from going all over the house).The goal is to start painting next week. I am excited about the change!!!! It is starting to come together!!!!!

Just returned from a blessed retreat in Maui,Hawaii!!!!! We had a blast.We were mostly in Hana but spent a day in our favorite surfer town Paia.This year was very dry so not alot of waterfalls but it was still gorgeous!!!!! Here are a few photos......
