( Hubby) Trent's Birthday Weekend!!!!

My hubby had his 40th birthday this Friday and we threw him a surprise party! The kids and I planned it and schemed for weeks.It was so stressful but we pulled it off.He had no clue!!!! The kids wanted a Hawaiian theme since we love Hawaii and it is our dream to live there one day.We found very cool decorations at our favorite Dollar Tree store. I was so busy hosting the party that I didn't take to many photos.How does that happen?LOL .I did take some before everyone got here to remember how it looked( before the mess).So here are some photos of our house before the party and a few during.

Sweet sixteen!!!

Today is a special day ,sixteen years ago it was Thanksgiving day and my husband and I welcomed our son Trent into our life!!!!! He has been such a blessing for our family!!!! He is best friends with his brother Julian who is 11 years old.It is so sweet to see them grow up together. It's hard to believe 16 years have gone by. I am looking forward to see his life unfold and be a part of it.Trent is our "optimist".Life is always bright around him!!!!!! Happy Birthday Trent!!!!!

Happy birthday

Today is our son Trent's 15th bday!!! He was actually born on Thanksgiving Day !!!!! he is such a blessing to our family. I am really proud of how he is growing up!!! He has such a tender heart especially for his siblings. My dad (grandpa) always says he has never seen brothers as close as Trent and Julian even though there is a 4 year gap. He also is a caring uncle.Today started out with a breakfast outing including their friend Jacob and then we went to the mall for Trent to pick out his presents. We basically went to Gamestop for a bunch of video games. then it was home for a game-a-thon with Jacob and Julian . We found the most delicious Reeses cake to celebrate and end off the day. In Trent's words it was the best day ever!!!!

Birthday's

 It has been a very busy birthday month here at my house. We had Julian's party in Feb. and at the end of the month it was my birthday!!!!! My daughter Paloma made me a Hello Kitty cake!!!! I LOVE Hello Kitty !!!!!! It was an awesome gift!!!!! I also received fabulous presents from my hubby and boys!!!!

   Our daughter Paloma had a birthday a few days after mine.She turned 20!!!!!WoW!!!! Time has really flown by!!!!!! The boys and I made cupcakes for her and we are finally going out for a family dinner tomorrow night to celebrate!!!!!

Birthday party

This weekend we had a birthday party for my baby Julian (whose birthday is really in Jan) and my daughter Paloma who had a birthday this week. Since we were in the middle of the dining room renovation and just about finished we had the party. We still have to finish a few projects but the room is functioning.I have been waiting to post the final photos until we finish completely. We have lighting to hang and the tin ceiling has a few pieces to rehang. I love the room!!!! It has made our house feel larger.I also am finishing painting the crown molding . Hopefully we can finish things this weekend!!!!!

Cupcakes

Today is my B-day!!!!! I turn TWENTY again!!!!! LOL!!!!! I really wasn't into it this year but my youngest wanted me to have a party and make cupcakes.So I couldn't turn down a cupcake.My daughter went to the store and bought all our ingredients then Julian helped mix everything.I helped put the frosting on but Paloma and Julian decorated them.They turned out yummy looking and tasting!!!!!!Here is a photo from today!!!!

Julian's 8th Birthday

My youngest son was born today eight years ago!!!! So hard to believe he is eight.He will always be our baby!!!!! Julian has been such a blessing to our family!!! Happy Birthday Julian!!!!!

Birthday party and tiling the floor!!!

It was a typical birthday party at our house!!! My son turned twelve the day after Thanksgiving but we had his party yesterday.(He was actually born on Thanksgiving Day !!!) My husband decided he would finish up on our bathroom project during the party.It involved laying down the dura rock and he decided we NEEDED the clawfoot tub in the bathroom so he could cut the hole in the floor for the drain pipe.My oldest son was here for the day . Hubby had him call a friend to help w/ the tub.My husband was getting impatient waiting for the guy to show up so he was figuring out a way for me ,my neighbor,my dad (who is 70+ and him to lift this thing.It is super heavy so I was not happy about it.Luckily my sons friend showed up to take my place !!!!!! All went well,it took 5 people to lift this tub upstairs and turn the thing into our bathroom. About two years ago the night before we had a birthday party for my youngest,we tore out our kitchen wall.It was just exposed beams when guests arrived.(That year I had to clean all the plaster during the night so our house would look decent!!!! It has been a theme to have some major renovation going on during a party!!!!Sometimes our guests help out too!!!!!! After the party I tiled the floor where the claw foot will go.Today we will tile a few rows that we need on the wall.I will take some photos later today!!!!!
