Project list for 2010

 

I am looking back thru the blog and realized we accomplished a lot!!!! Of course there are still projects to do but that is for 2011!!!!! The biggest project we did was opening up the wall from the original dining room into a small bedroom. This was really time consuming and messy!!! We love how it turned out!!!! Another mini project was adding  wood to the floor where the original wall was .That was a first for us!!!!

 

  In the basement we had a see  thru staircase so we added wood to the steps.That helped with the laundry not falling thru!!!!! It"s the little things that make me happy!!!!! We also went to Hawaii!!!!When we returned it was back to business!!!!    We installed our light and new electric in the old dining room(it had been a hole up there for a while.In July we started the painting of our house. Added shutters!!!!(we are not done painting outside)WE made awesome  bunk beds(still working on boys room) I finished painting my lockers.( a two year project!!!!) And the final big project of the year was installing the barn door track and putting up the Victorian french doors that were on the front enclosed porch for two years!!!! This one was really special to me!!!!! Also a first for us ,it was really scary and a little more complicated than we thought. It has been a great year!!!!! We are looking forward to 2011 !!!!! I know we will have a greater year next year greater than we could ever have imagined!!!! Happy New year!!!!!!!! I am linked to this party!!!top-projects-2010

Aloha!!!!!

Just returned from a blessed retreat in Maui,Hawaii!!!!! We had a blast.We were mostly in Hana but spent a day in our favorite surfer town Paia.This year was very dry so not alot of waterfalls but it was still gorgeous!!!!! Here are a few photos......

We are back!!!!!

Trent and I went on the most wonderful vacation!!!! We went to Maui,Hawaii!!!! We went on a yoga retreat but it was more of a Indiana Jones adventure!!!!! We were with a fantastic group of people who I know will stay friends for life!!!! Maui is too magical to even describe!!!! I don't even think my photos can show you the beauty we experienced!!!! We walked on cliff edges to get to secluded beaches.We climbed roots of trees (I felt like we were in "Lord of the Rings").We sat on top of waterfall rocks and meditated (the scariest and probably most dangerous!!!!)For me I overcame personal fears and my husband overcame some as well (he jumped off a cliff into water) He had a small fear of heights!!!! The magic of the island is so beautiful!!!! I now hope to live there one day with my family!!!! Here are photos!!! Enjoy!!!!
