Spring Cleaning!!!!!!

So finally I am getting in the mood to spring clean!!!! Where we live it is not spring like weather, but I am feeling the need to deep clean!!!! My bedroom is a catch all for everything from the rest of the house.Especially on Saturdays since we work out of the house that day.I find myself shoving laundry baskets and anything else I want to hide in our room. Not cool but I usually start getting everything out again during the week. Today was the day that I started to clean my side and organize my dresser(the top) and my nightstand.I am a product junkie to say the least!!!! I love beauty products and since I am in the beauty business ,I tend to buy a lot.I also am addicted to youtube and start buying products that have good reviews.Alot of my skin products are also from where my husband works.For valentine's Day hubby gave me Emminence skin care products which I love and also some makeup!!!! He usually has the girls where he works pick them out. Love all my products!!!!! But with that said ,my dresser was starting to feel cluttered. I am lucky to have a separate dressing room(which is connected to our room)so I mostly put my makeup in there.But I noticed that the night time skin care products needed to be closer to me where I can see them or I forget to put them on. I am now at the lovely time in my life that I should put on night cream,eye cream,etc!!!! LOL!!!! I try but I don't always succeed.I also love vintage items which also add to my clutter.As an artist I need to surround myself with beauty(the things that I find pretty).I also like order so as long as I have my things organized I am fine but then life happens and my room starts to feel like chaos. I wiped down my dresser and rearranged my"stuff" and now it feels better.I still have my dressing room to spring clean but that will have to wait until another day.Here are the photos of my room.

Painting the bedroom!!!!

I did a lot of painting projects while hubby was gone.I had been wanting to paint the wall behind our bed a chocolate brown.The rest of the room is an eggplant purple color. I also debated painting our bed off white.The nightstands are an off white color so I thought it would look better than the regular wood . Once I painted the wall, I HAD to paint the bed!!!!! The bed took forever to paint!!!!! I had to do a million coats.It probably needs some more but I am over it!!!! I do love how the lighter color makes the bed pop against the chocolate brown.Here are photos.

New camera!!!!

Finally I can take photos again!!!! Hubby bought me a new camera!!!! It is not the professional one I wanted but it takes good pictures for now. I appreciate being able to have it anytime I want instead of bugging him to use his iphone. This weekend was very mellow.It was my husband's birthday and we didn't have anything to do around the house!!!!! We slept late , cooked out,drank coffee, it was great!!!!! Today I am cleaning our room and then I will organize the rest of the house. I am having trouble with the clutter!!!! I have a love /hate relationship with clutter!!!! I like having displays but do not like seeing the day to day 'stuff'.In our bedroom, we have a lot of vitamins laying around and there is no where to put them so they look tidy.It drives me crazy!!!!! I know if I put them away out of sight then it becomes out of mind as well. We are on a health kick so we actually take them daily. Our kitchen would be my ideal spot for them but we do not have a lot of cabinet space. For now I try hiding them in baskets. I moved the vintage mantel from the kitchen to the bedroom a while back.I love how it looks in the room. It is a good place to add all my perfume bottles and candles (the good clutter!!!!) here are a few photos.

Exhausted!!!!!

I spent my whole day cleaning our master bedroom closet!!!! Then I cleaned the rest of our room!! I guess you can say I am officially "spring cleaning". I still have a few little things to do in this room but at the moment I am over it!!!!! I don't know how our room gets so cluttered.It probably happens from being so busy and cleaning the rest of the house.I am making our room a priority!!!! I always feel so much better when our room is clean!!!!! I also love to arrange my dressing table.I have really great perfumes and beauty products!!!!
