Chair redo
I found these funky chairs at the thrift store. When I saw them I knew immediately that I would spray paint them pink,of course!!!! I painted one a bright pink and I loved how it turned out but thought I would try a baby pink for the other one. Here are the before and after photos. I also rubbed on a little gold to bring out the details.I am go to use them at each end of my dining room table for now.

Shutters
We bought some of the shutters for the top windows!!!! They came in white and some other colors but I really wanted a cream color. When we got home I had my husband put the shutters outside the window to see if we liked the white color with the red paint.I also was thinking it would save time and money if we didn't paint them. I am kind of over painting!!!!! Well we didn't like how it looked so off I went to buy some cream colored paint. I bought spray paint and I love how they turned out!!!! Tomorrow we will put them up and then I can really get a visual. Here are the shutters after I painted them. Also the white shutter on the house.Tommorrow I will post more photos after we put up the shutters.

Paint colors

Yesterday we went to Menards to look at paint colors. We chose two reds to sample for the outside of our house. The first is a barn like red and the second is a burgundy red. We thought we would really like the barn red from the swatch but when we painted a section of our house the second color stood out to us.It is really hard picking out paint colors for the outside because you really don't want to repaint if you hate it. Here are the samples on the house. The first photo is the garage it hasn't been primed yet.We think we might paint the garage the barn red.

Lightening up!!!!
I am not one to go with the trends!!!!! It seems that in all the design blogs the color white and grey are all the rage .I do like the look but for our home it is not practical. We have two dogs and kids in our house so light colors don't work for us. Our master bedroom has been painted an orchid/purplish color w/ one chocolate brown wall .I bought the paint from Restoration Hardware.I looked up posts from the past and we had our room that color for almost three years!!!!!!( the chocolate wall was just recently added) I really loved the walls but needed a change so I painted our room an almond color!!!!!! I can't believe it!!!!! This is as close to white as I can go!!!! Our room feels so much bigger but now I need new bedding .I did leave the chocolate brown wall since our bed is an off white color and the dark wall makes the bed stand out. Here are photos of the beginning transformation.
