Pink chair!!!!

The baby shower is approaching fast ( Feb.26) and I have been on the hunt to find some vintage chairs!!!!!! I have been to the thrift store numerous times and found nothing. Finally we went Tuesday (almost the whole family) my hubby,daughter and the two boys tagged along. I was feeling discouraged but at the last store I found one lonely chair. It is sturdy and paintable.My kind of chair!!!!!! So for $3.00 (great price) I bought it and brought it home. I decided to use my favorite pink paint that I already had.So yesterday I painted it by hand. At some point I would love to get my own paint sprayer that I don't have to attach to hubby's air compresser,it would make life easier!!!! I debated stenciling a fleur de lis but could not find my stencil.I will look for it today and if I find it I may add it to the seat. Here are the photos.....

I love how the chair turned out!!!! I saw a pink chevron pillow at Target that would look so cute on it!!!!! I also NEED to find more vintage chairs!!!

Chair redo

I found these funky chairs at the thrift store. When I saw them I knew immediately that I would spray paint them pink,of course!!!! I painted one a bright pink and I loved how it turned out but thought I would try a baby pink for the other one. Here are the before and after photos.  I also rubbed on a little gold to bring out the details.I am go to use them at each end of my dining room table for now.

Basement redo!!!!!

 I am working on the basement again!!!!! I am making my former office which became our tool/junk room into my Reiki /meditation room. I have been working with Reiki ( energy healing) since Feb. and now I want a space to give my family /friends treatments. We plan on finishing the ceiling ,adding new lights and repainting. I am thinking of a violet color. I want this room to be very soothing. Today I was cleaning out the room and it is overwhelming!!!! I want to be able to repaint in a couple weeks!!!!!  I also am working on the bedroom that is down there .That room is almost ready to be painted.In that room I added texture to the walls and I am going to paint it an off white with a glaze over it. I am going lighter with the colors because of the lack of light in the basement. I will add photos soon!!!!!!!

Basement update!!!!

We are about 90 percent done with our basement redo!!! The bathroom is just about done,we have one wall to tile in back of the claw foot tub.We are using subway tile.Hopefully we can finish that this weekend!!!! The middle hang out room still needs a floor and we decided to put in electric baseboard heat. I will be excited when I can put up a flat screen tv and throw the toys down there!!!!
