( Hubby) Trent's Birthday Weekend!!!!

My hubby had his 40th birthday this Friday and we threw him a surprise party! The kids and I planned it and schemed for weeks.It was so stressful but we pulled it off.He had no clue!!!! The kids wanted a Hawaiian theme since we love Hawaii and it is our dream to live there one day.We found very cool decorations at our favorite Dollar Tree store. I was so busy hosting the party that I didn't take to many photos.How does that happen?LOL .I did take some before everyone got here to remember how it looked( before the mess).So here are some photos of our house before the party and a few during.

Fashion

Since a lot of our house projects are complete I have turned to my second favorite subject,fashion.It goes between first and second on my list depending what is going on in life at the moment. Saturday night we were invited to a birthday party for a friend and it was an opportunity to dress up. Unfortunately I was rushed getting ready because we had to work all day.So I had to quickly get dressed and apply my make up. I wore a black strapless(ballerina type)dress with a black sweater.I had lace stockings and my new favorite black velvet boots on.I asked my son to take photos of me but they didn't turn out so great. I really need a new camera!!!!! Here are a few that turned out ok...

I have been curling my hair lately and it is so much easier to wear this way.It looks good for a few days!!!!
The party was fun and it was nice to go out with hubby alone since we normally always have kids with us.

Have a great day today!! I am having a little party for the kids and handing out a few small presents to them. I am hoping to make some cupcakes later.I have a few highlight clients coming so I will make them in the later afternoon.I have a cold and now my hubby does too so I doubt we will go out tonight. I do have a new outfit just incase!!!!! Well,I am off to work so have a great day!!!!!
