Quick project
Living in Wisconsin where our winters are brutal one must keep up on
painting the outside of the house.I have to paint the stairs to our front porch almost every summer.This year the summer was so rainy I didn't do it as early as I would have liked and then it became so hot so I put it off more!!!! I couldn't stand looking at our stairs anymore so I finally painted!!! Also I purchased some ornate rubber stair mats that look victorian (that was the real motivator).Once painted I waited for my purchase to arrive.I bought the set of four victorian looking stair protectors from Ballad's catalog.I LOve Ballard's !!!! I just usually dream about buying everything from the catalog so it was exciting to actually be able to buy something affordable!!! The stair mats were about 1/4 inch to big for my steps so I asked hubby to drill some screws into them to attach to the wooden steps and it really made a difference.They feel more secure so there won't be anyone slipping off my stairs. I just have to get some black paint and paint the top of the screws to blend in more with the black color of the mats.Here are before

Makeup organization!!!!
I have been in love with makeup since I was about 4 years old!!!!! I went to a catholic school growing up and we were not allowed to wear makeup.We mostly snuck lipgloss and mascara but I was especially brave a few times and wore eyeshadow(yeah,I was the girl sent to the office for wearing eyeshadow,lol)!!!! Then in high school I was finally allowed to wear makeup everyday since I went to a public school. Those were the days when the only person I had to get ready was myself and I definitely took my time!!!!! Fast forward to adult life and I started having kids.Somedays if I had time for lipgloss that was a miracle!!!!
Since I am a stay at home mom it does get challenging to get "fixed up" to do housework. I have always been interested in fashion.I went to design school after high school but then switched to cosmetology after 2 years of fashion design. So I always keep up on the latest styles in clothes,hair and makeup!!!! Lately I have rediscovered my love for makeup!!!!! I think it is that my kids are bigger and I have time for me again!!!!! Also with the internet I have been searching for creative ways to organize my things. I am so lucky to have a dressing room that is attached to our bedroom(this is separate than our closet).It is not huge but I keep my antique victorian dressing table in there,a shelf and a small armoire for my dresses.My dream before we found this house was to have my own pink dressing room and it sealed the deal on this house for me when I walked in the master bedroom!!!!!
So lately I have started buying makeup(well,I guess I should say more makeup since I always bought some!!!!! I have a mix of high and low end and the challenge is where to put it!!!!! For now I found some hello kitty storage containers and I am waiting to buy an acrylic cube which is all the rage on youtube and internet.Here are photos of what I have used for now.It works since I love Hello Kitty!!!!!

Glamping!!!!!!
Hard to believe but I have never gone camping in my entire life!!!!! Sleeping in a tent was not my idea of fun,lol!!!! My daughter and her family wanted to do a camping trip at Devil's Lake ,Wi state park and invited us.My boys were excited to try something different so we went. We shopped around for the perfect tent and we found a 8-10 person tent that had two dividers to turn it into 3 rooms. We also bought air mattresses to sleep on!!!! Yeah ,to my hubby for upgrading ours to a super comfy one!!!!
We also brought our two dogs Scruffy and Lola.Scruffy is a huge Rottweiler mix and Lola is a (princess) long haired chihuahua.They loved it and behaved so well.The trails for hiking reminded us of our trip to Maui,Hawaii.That was my favorite part of the trip.So my first experience was more of glamping since we wanted a site with electric.I loved it and we are definitely going back soon!!!!!! Maybe next time we will have have a 
cute airstream trailer to glamp in!!!!

Makeup!!!!
I have always loved makeup.I have been playing with it since I was 3 or 4 years old,lol!!!! I was always the girl that put makeup on my friends and family. I have gone through phases of wearing makeup and then being to busy to bother with it.Life happens but we rediscover our passions again!!!!!! My latest discovery is makeup videos on youtube!!!!! Who knew you could watch makeup reviews,techniques,dupes for pricey brands,etc. So with watching all the videos I have been learning new techniques and practicing on myself!!!!! There are so many more items available to get a flawless look. Face primers,eye primers,and with getting older(shhhhh) sunscreen is my new thing!!!!! I am buying new supplies slowly(need new brushes) and having fun trying out new products.So here are some photos from last week after trying out some new make up techniques!!!!! Also I have bangs again!!!! I feel like my hair was looking blah so I wanted something a little different without cutting my hair off!!!!!

Birthday party
Last Sunday we went to a friend's daughter's birthday party.We have been so busy lately it is almost ridiculous!! It was a nice family outing and I love an excuse to dress up. I woke up early to wash,dry and style my hair but the weather was so hot and humid ,my hair just fell flat.Don't you hate when that happens!?! Oh well ,at least my outfit was perfect in the heat.It was a fun party for the boys and this year they got their face painted.The girl who painted the kids faces was so patient and everyone turned out great!!!! I am looking forward to July because we have a few weekends off from work and I hope we can relax and enjoy the summer.Here are photos from Sunday.

Strawberry picking!!!!
We finally went strawberry picking!!!! This is the first time we went to a pick any fruit and it was so much fun!!!!! We really don't live far from the strawberry farm and have past it a million times. My husband finally said we should go pick strawberries!!!! we have been eating more fruit lately so it made sense to pick the fruit we are eating. We took the boys ,their friend Jacob and our daughter Paloma and her family.We ended up picking 7 boxes of strawberries so everyone took some home to their families.My boys had so much fun and I did too!! It was actually addictive .It was hard to stop picking once your box was full,lol!!! We went yesterday and at first it was raining but once it cleared up the farms website said they were open for picking.They laid straw over the mud so you didn't get too dirty but Paloma and her baby were all covered in mud!!! My hubby wore flip flops and got stuck in a few places.It was an adventure and the whole family wants to go again.I came home and washed two boxes of strawberries and froze them for my protein shakes.We still have two huge boxes to snack on so that is a lot of strawberries.We will definitely go back before the season is over.here are a few photos of the day at the farm.
