Exhausted!!!!!

I spent my whole day cleaning our master bedroom closet!!!! Then I cleaned the rest of our room!! I guess you can say I am officially "spring cleaning". I still have a few little things to do in this room but at the moment I am over it!!!!! I don't know how our room gets so cluttered.It probably happens from being so busy and cleaning the rest of the house.I am making our room a priority!!!! I always feel so much better when our room is clean!!!!! I also love to arrange my dressing table.I have really great perfumes and beauty products!!!!

Redesign

I purchased the armoire I talked about in my last post!!!! YEAH!!!! I painted it pink.I love it!!!! I added a few decorative wood scrolls and I need to paint that part so I will take photos tomorrow.I also changed the knobs to glass knobs that look vintage.I can't believe what a few minor changes can do !!! The piece really looks more like my style!!!!! Also I FEEL more organized!! I am finding clothes that I forgot about because I never saw them in my actual closet.I will post the photos soon.Have a great night!!!

Armoire

I have always wanted an antique french style armoire that has mirrored doors.I like the very ornate kind,the kind that end up costing thousands of dollars!!!!! Well,I have to improvise!!! I found a very simple armoire on Craigslist and it is a great price so I am buying it!!!!! I will finally have more closet space for my clothes!!!!!! I am thinking I can paint it (maybe pink?) and add a few detailed wooden scrolls.We were going to open up our closet door wall and add another door(french doors) but I just don't want the mess with plaster at the moment!!!! We are still cleaning up dust from basement project!!!!! Here is a picture from Craigslist.

Before it was a bathroom....

This is the basement when we first started to build my bathroom.It was going to be my retreat with my very own clawfoot bath tub!!!! It was a rough space in the beginning and it has been a long process!!!! Here is the before and after!!!!!

So thankful!!!!

Today I am thankful that my son's room is done!!!! It is a very small room but it will give him privacy and give us some space in the rest of the house!!!! He is still getting his "stuff" put away so I haven't taken pictures. I am going to be cleaning up today( all the dry wall dust) .It seems the whole house is a mess from us doing construction in the basement.It is also very cold outside so I am happy to be inside and have our wood burning stove on!!!!! It really makes the house toasty warm!!!! Yesterday ,I posted that I was going to look at fabric for my Victorian sofa. I really liked a leopard print so i am going to go with a leopard print velvet.It will hide any stains that come from kids/pets. i haven't made the final selection because the guy is waiting for more samples but i am really excited!!!!! Also i looked at a Victorian love seat that he had and after my sofa is done I want to buy it and a victorian rocking chair!!!!! They also need to be reupholstered but i would choose a simple fabric for them!!!! Before any one says that I will grow tired of leopard print ,I have to say that it has been a signature print for me since I was 16!!!!
