Thrill of the hunt

Today I took the boys as well as my daughter to a little used book store that opened in our downtown area which is a few blocks away. I grew up going to used book stores with my mom and it is one of my favorite memories. I LOVE books!!!!!! The only issue I have is finding places to put my books, lol!!!! My shelves are full.I ended up buying some vintage children's books. After the book store we went to a thrift store that we hardly ever go to.We are still looking for baby shower vintage props.
I found a cute little baby figurine and a vintage baby doll.I'm looking for something with a stork and a vintage baby scale. I did find a vintage scale on etsy but there is something exciting about the thrill of the hunt going from store to store!!!!! You never know what treasure awaits.

Ahhh you share my affinity for the loveliest of stores, the thrift variety :) Whether it's books, clothes, art, little treasure of any kind, thrift is the way to go! Especially books. Old ones have WAY more character than a brand new paperback. Oh goodness, I have definitely run out of book room too. I went through this phase a while back where I kept bringing old books to the used book store to get book buying credit. I don't want to do that anymore though. I want to keep adding more and more and never get rid of ANY of my books again. Still mourning over the loss of some of the things I have gotten rid of in a "simplistic anti-hoarding" rampage. So glad to hear your finding more vintage baby things!

That is so true!!!! I almost took some of my old books to the store for credit but decided to hold on to them. I too have regretted giving up some of my old books in the past.LOL!!!! I will have to start putting some of my books on hubby's new shelves in our room!!!!! Blessings,Sara
